????Battery maker A123 says that steep losses and a faster cash burn over the next several quarters are creating "substantial doubt" about its viability as a going concern. A maker of advanced lithium-ion batteries that it supplies to GM and BMW, among others, A123 received a $249 million grant from the federal government in 2009 and went public the same year. But the recall of 200 Fisker cars in December with A123 batteries cost the company nearly $67 million and left its survival in doubt.
