Forget the specs

????Used to be, hardware became obsolete in three or four years. But devices like the MacBook Air, have proven consumers now seem to care more about the experience -- Does it run smoothly? Is it easy to use? -- and less about the numbers on the side of the box. This philosophy will permeate other consumer products as well; expect manufacturers to play down hardware and play up what that hardware can actually do.
