2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Coupe Overview
The newest version of the GLE four-door coupe arrived completely updated as a 2020 model. The mid-sized crossover rides on Mercedes’ MHA platform, which stretched it by 80 millimetres compared with the previous model. There are no significant changes for 2022.
Performance
The GLE 450 4Matic Coupe is powered by a twin-turbo inline six that is electrified with 48-volt technology, delivering 362 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. EQ Boost technology enhances performance over short periods with a further 184 lb-ft of torque and 21 hp. The AMG 53 4Matic+ is powered by a 429-hp, AMG-enhanced 3.0L inline six-cylinder with an EQ Boost starter generator. Driving dynamics are further enhanced by the fully variable AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive and AMG Ride Control air suspension.Practicality
Compared with its predecessor, the GLE Coupe’s wheelbase grew by 20 mm, but remains 60 mm shorter than that of the GLE SUV. The 655-litre trunk can conceal its load beneath a folding and removable cover. With the rear seats folded, cargo capacity increases to 1,790 litres. The loading sill is inherently higher than on conventional SUVs, but the Coupe is around 60 mm better than the previous model. Further, the tail end can even be lowered a further 50 mm at the press of a button for easy loading/unloading.Value
