I'm crying ' reliving my childhood. Play this game since I was 6. Now I'm 20 and still want to play, my fave is Back To Nature, this is pretty similar :)

I would recommend this game. It's a lot of fun, and probably even more so if you're new to the Harvest Moon games. There is SO much more you can do in this game than in the GBA version, and even though it's harder I really like the idea that you literally have to build your farm from the ground up; for example, you don't even start with an animal barn or a chicken coop, you must buy them yourself. You even have to buy the silo for them. Some people may not like that, but I see it as more to do and more of a challenge. There's also a couple of things they added on; you can now have a pet cat AND a dog AND a horse (when you get one) and you can now also raise ducks as well as chickens and have different breeds of cows. There's a lot more bachelors to choose from, especially if you unlock the bachelors (as well as their rivals) from Mineral Town by inserting either Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town or Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town into the GBA slot and this game into the DS cartridge slot (p.s. for those of you that would rather figure out these sort of things for themselves, I am spoiling nothing; it says so in the booklet it comes with). HOWEVER, it did have a couple of things I did not like about it, hence the four stars. If you're used to the GBA game like me, the time goes by MUCH faster in this game (and this could either be good or bad, depending on your perspective). I don't find that overly terrible, but you aren't going to have time to tend tons and tons of crops and animals like you could in the GBA version. Also, you aren't going to have time to work AND to go around talking to everyone in town, so either pick and choose who you'd rather be friends with or talk to one half of the town one day and the other half the next day and alternate if you want to be friends with EVERYONE (however, this is yet another thing I liked better about this game; it seemed like if you weren't friends with EVERYONE in town in the GBA version, everyone hated you, but not in this game!). But the positive thing about it is that if you really don't have much to do or you're waiting for a certain day, you won't have to wait long for the day to end. My biggest pet peeve with this game was that they changed the controls from the GBA game! Granted, it will take some getting used to and I will eventually, but why not keep it more simple and keep the controls the way they were? I've also heard that making friends and courting takes longer in this game, but who knows, I haven't gotten that far yet. Anyway, those are my personal pros and cons in a nutshell. My overall opinion is that you will enjoy this game whether you're a long time fan of Harvest Moon or new to it and trying this one out for the first time, but if you're used to the GBA version like I was, then there are a couple things that will probably bother you for a while. But I would recommend it either way, and I hope you enjoy this game as much as I did. Hope this helps!

Having never played Harvest Moon games before, I was curious to try them out. I was looking for a game to play on my ds that would be more relaxing than my usual choice of games or daily chores, slow enough to start and stop frequently, but entertaining enough to keep me busy for a few weeks. So far, the game has lived up to those expectations. This game isn't for everyone; those who are HM fans I'm sure will enjoy this one as much as any, but if you're new to the series like me, here are some pros and cons from a new person's perspective.

The game basically has 3 goals: Save the Harvest Goddess, work hard on your farm, and become a respected member of society. Your efforts, particularly in the beginning, are restricted by hours in the day and how much stamina/fatigue you have.

Pros:

-There are enough tasks to do in the day to keep me busy.
- Relaxing
- Much of the information is included in books and video tutorials within the game, making the game little more user friendly
- Two save files- save often in case you make a mistake!
- Good replay value, in my opinion, as I will probably want to redo it after I learn my way around the game
- Relatively open-ended

Cons:

-One thing that bothers me is there are a lot of events that are triggered by specific days/seasons/encounters etc. If I never pulled up a guide for this game online, I probably would have missed out on a lot of things (and probably still will...there is a ton of stuff piled into the friendships/romances and I don't feel up to scheduling out my game perfectly.) Since the focus of the game is farming, I was set to ignore the people around me and just work on putting my crops in neat little organized rows. You can probably do that and still get much out of the game, however, from what I understand, the romances are a big part of HM and the events are important. From what I've read, your relationships with other characters helps improve your farming skills as well. Good things for the most part, except if you don't know that when you start the game, you are going to miss out. If a season/date passes and you haven't completed certain things, your opportunity passes. At least that is what I gather. If you are a completionist, be ready to pull up some guides and spend a lot of your game time wooing the characters and giving gifts.

- Some of the controls are a little annoying and take some getting used to. For instance, if you're not standing perfectly in the square you want, you may accidentally water a plot of land with no seeds in it, wasting energy and time. Save often!

Overall, it's a pretty fun game; relaxing enough that I can play it between taking care of my little one. I'm still in my first season, and I'm interested enough to see if I can complete most of the game. I'm looking forward to having all my animals and expanded house. I'm a little OCD and sometimes it's a little more frustrating than I'd like to get things right, but nothing outrageous.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mejor que la version anterior

It’s amazing so happy to finally find the game for a decent price and I really liked the customer service from the seller. Have slight technical issues but that could be a problem with the device as well. All in all very happy with this purchase!
