Posted 25 May 2011 - 18:47 One of my students decided she wanted
to learn this for something different after she'd taken TG grade 5. It's a very straightforward lefthand - (though up & down the piano) & the right hand is very repetitive - the variations tending to be rhythmic. Mine isn't a very confident sight reader nor a fast learner but she really wanted to learn this and had it reasonably fluent in about 4 weeks. I'm pretty useless at equating things to grades but in terms of complexity I'd guess around grade 4.

#5 MinstrelPosted 25 May 2011 - 20:19 I'm guessing it's for a teenager? Has he/she come across Einaudi? A lot of teenagers seem to enjoy playing though much of this recreationally which, while not everyone's cup of tea is great at encouraging quite a few at that age and stage to unwind with their music. (HUGE apologies if it's not for a teenager, it's just that almost every one of my teenage daughters friends seem to want to tinkle away at this or Einaudi the minute they see our piano!)

How hard is River Flows in You to learn?Not so much. Maybe after 4 years you'd be able to do it in 1 week. Not very good either. In my experience it's very easy to learn.
