Đặc biệt, mẫu xe VinFast Lux A2.0 dù nhà sản xuất công bố chính thức dừng kinh doanh xe ô tô chạy xăng để tập trung cho xe điện từ tháng 7, nhưng trong tháng 8 vừa qua vẫn có đến 849 xe bàn giao đến tay người tiêu dùng. Đây cũng là mẫu xe dẫn dắt doanh số bán hàng của VinFast khi chỉ có 329 xe Fadil, 37 xe Lux SA2.0 và 5 xe VF e34 được bàn giao cho khách hàng trong tháng 8/2022. Cụ thể, sáng 13/9, Hiệp hội Các nhà sản xuất Ô tô Việt Nam (VAMA) công bố doanh số bán xe toàn thị trường của các đơn vị thành viên trong tháng 8/2022 đạt 30.846 xe các loại, tăng 2% so với tháng 7/2022, nhưng tăng 247% so với cùng kỳ năm ngoái do thời điểm này năm ngoái cả nước đang giãn cách xã hội để phòng chống dịch COVID-19. Bên cạnh đó, TC Group (thuộc Tập đoàn Thành Công) với thương hiệu xe Hyundai cũng công bố trong tháng 8 vừa qua đơn vị này có doanh số 5.449 xe. VinFast cũng thông báo tiêu thụ được 1.220 xe. Như vậy, chỉ qua số liệu công bố chính thức từ VAMA, TC Group và VinFast, trong tháng 8 vừa qua toàn thị trường tiêu thụ tổng cộng 37.515 xe ô tô các loại.
