- Run the “Host Blocker.bat” as administrator or add the following lines to your hosts file manually:

- Set the hosts file to be “Read-only” as soon as possible (but probably fails)
- Download and install the latest version of Avast (offline installer) from
official site as trial (Premium Security Multi-Device is highly recommended, other editions may be failed after restart – go back to free edition immediately)
- Open Avast product, and enter “Menu/My licenses“
- Click “Enter a valid activation code“
- Click “Use a license file“
- Open the
corresponding license file (.avastlic)
- Select the one you’d like to use on your computer from multiple licenses
- Click ‘CONTINUE‘
- Restarting computer is usually required (otherwise you might not see any changes)
- Done
*** Every time you switch to or activate another license, do wait for its “Activating…” action to finish (i.e.: upgrading/downgrading the program files and title), and make a system restart to make it effective. Otherwise,
the unmatched program title and license will confuse you a lot. Older Method: - First of all, you must uninstall any previous installation of Avast product using the Avast official removal tool – Avast Uninstall Utility (AKA: Avast Antivirus Clear,
Avast Uninstall Tool, Avast Clear for short)
- Download Avast Free/Pro Antivirus/Internet Security/Premier from official site, and install it as trial
- Download and double-click the license file (.avastlic) to import (give it seconds to minutes for initialization), until you can see the “Valid until:” field has a date value, click ‘Activate‘ button
- Done, enjoy (it maybe needs a restart to finish upgrade and license update)
