Uiuc Spring 2023 classes

Here is a detailed schedule for the dates and deadlines on the UIUC academic calendar 2022-2023 for Fall, Spring and Summer semester. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is on a semester system. A full semester at UIUC is 16 week long.

1. Fall 2022 Priority registration begins for Summer and Fall 2022 for eligible continuing and returning students on April 4, 2022.
2. Open registration begins for Fall 2022 for all except non-degree students on April 21, 2022.
3. Open registration begins for Fall 2022 for non-degree students on July 18, 2022.

5. UIUC move in day fall 2022 is from August 14, 2022 to August 21, 2022.
6. Fall tuition and fee charges first appear on student accounts on August 15, 2022.
7. August 19 – September 30, 2022 is Health Insurance Change/Waiver Period on the UIUC academic calendar.
8. August 21 2022 is the deadline to cancel registration (drop all classes) for full reversal of tuition and campus fees for classes scheduled in a regular semester. The deadline to cancel non-standard course offerings is the last day before instruction.
9. UIUC fall classes start on August 22 2022. It is the first day of classes for the Fall semester and POT A courses.
10. August 22 2022 is the deadline for students to register for first classes without being charged a $15 late fee penalty.
11. Late registration begins via Student Self-Service on August 23, 2022.
12. The deadline for ALL students to add a POT A course via Student Self-Service is August 26, 2022.
13. August 26 2022 is the deadline for ALL students to drop POT A (1st 8 week) course for refund if reducing the assessment range.
14. The deadline to suppress directory information is August 26, 2022.
15. September 2, 2022 is the “10th day” add/drop deadline on the UIUC academic calendar.
16. The deadline to drop or reduce semester hours and receive refund if reducing assessment range for ALL students is September 2, 2022.
17. September 2, 2022 is the deadline for Undergraduates to add a semester course via Student Self-Service.
18. The deadline for GRAD to add a semester course via Student Self-Service without approval is September 2, 2022.
19. September 3, 2022 is the Official fall enrollment information transmitted to NSC for processing to NSLDS to provide loan deferment if applicable. Notification to federal loan providers should occur within 2 – 3 weeks according to UIUC academic calendar.
20. Labor Day holiday (all-campus holiday) is September 5, 2022.
21. According to the UIUC academic calendar, September 16, 2022 is the;
    • Deadline for UG to drop POT A (1st 8 weeks) course via Student Self-Service without a grade of W. Students may contact their college office to request an exception by petitioning the drop deadline in the case of extraordinary circumstances.
    • Deadline for UG to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in POT A course.
    • The deadline for UG to file an intent to use the Campus Grade Replacement option in the POT A course.
    • Deadline for GRAD to drop POT A course via Student Self-Service.

23. September 30, 2022 is the deadline for GRAD to drop a POT A course without a grade of W.
24. The deadline for GRAD to elect credit/no credit for a POT A course or to change credit/no credit to a regular grade is September 30, 2022.
25. UIUC Fall 2022 Final exam schedule is available to view on Course Explorer in October 2022.
26. On the UIUC academic calendar, October 14 2022 is the;
    • Deadline for UG to drop semester course via Student Self-Service without grade of W. Students may contact their college office to request an exception by petition to the drop deadline in the case of extraordinary circumstances.
    • Deadline for UG to remove incomplete grade from previous semester to prevent change to F grade.
    • Deadline for UG to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in semester course.
    • The deadline for UG to file intent to use the Campus Grade Replacement option in semester course.
    • Deadline for UG to withdraw from Fall semester (drop all courses) without grade of W.
    • Deadline for LAW students to drop semester course without grade of W.
    • Deadline for GRAD to drop semester course via Student Self-Service.
27. October 21 2022 is the deadline for UG to add POT B (2nd 8 week) course.
28. The deadline for GRAD to add POT B course via Student Self-Service is October 21, 2022. 
29. October 21 2022 is the deadline for ALL students to drop POT B course for refund if reducing assessment range.
30. October 28 2022 is the deadline to withdraw from the University if enrolled in POT 1 and receive the minimum 40% pro-rata refund.
31. 2022 General Election Day (all-campus holiday) is November 8, 2022 – no classes on this day according to UIUC academic calendar.
32. November 11 2022 is the deadline for UG to drop POT B course via Student Self-Service without grade of W. UIUC Students may contact their college office to request an exception by petition to the drop deadline in the case of extraordinary circumstances.
33. According to the UIUC academic calendar, November 11 2022 is the;
    • Deadline for UG to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in POT B course
    • The deadline for UG to file intent to use the Campus Grade Replacement option in the POT B course.

34. UIUC Fall Break 2022 is from November 19 2022 to November 27, 2022.
35. December 2, 2022 is the deadline for GRAD to drop POT B course without a grade of W.
36. The deadline for GRAD to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis for POT B course is December 2, 2022.
37. The last day of clases for Fall 2022 is December 7, 2022 according to the UIUC academic calendar 2022-2023.
38. Reading day (no classes, no final examinations) is December 8, 2022.
39. December 8 2022 is the last day for GRAD to add/drop POT B course without petitioning Graduate College.
40. The last day for GRAD to add/drop semester course without petitioning Graduate College is December 8, 2022.
41. Final examination period is December 9 2022 to December 16 2022 (Weekdays only).
42. December 19 2022 is Degree conferral date. Diplomas will be shipped in approximately 9 weeks.
43. Faculty deadline for reporting grades is in December 2022. Students can view final grades the following day via Student Self-Service.
44. Transcripts on hold for Fall 2022 grades are released in early January 2023 according to the UIUC academic calendar 2022-2023.

1. UIUC Spring 2023 class schedule is available on Course Explorer on October 3, 2022.
2. Time Tickets (earliest registration times) for Spring 2023 priority registration are available to view on Student Self-Service from October 17, 2022. Open time tickets will be assigned the following day according to UIUC academic calendar.
3. Priority registration begins for Spring 2023 for eligible continuing and returning students on October 31, 2022.
4. Open registration begins for all students on November 17, 2022.
5. Spring 2023 tuition and fee charges first appear on your student account on January 9 2023.
6. January 13 – February 24 2023 is Health Insurance Change/Waiver Period on the UIUC academic calendar page.
7. January 16 2023 by 11:59 PM CST is the deadline to cancel registration (dropping all Spring 2023 classes) for full reversal of tuition and campus fees for classes scheduled in a regular semester. The deadline to cancel non-standard course offerings is the last day before instruction.

16. February 10 2023 is the deadline for UG to drop a POT A (1st 8 week) course via Student Self-Service without grade of W.
17. The deadline for UG to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in POT A course is February 10, 2023.
18. February 10 2023 is the deadline for Undergraduates to file intent to use the Campus Grade Replacement option in POT A course.
19. The deadline for GRAD to drop a POT A course via Student Self-Service is February 10 2023.
20. February 24 2023 is the deadline for GRAD to drop a POT A course without a grade of W.
21. The deadline for GRAD to elect credit/no credit for a POT A course or to change from credit/no credit to a regular grade is February 24, 2023 on the UIUC academic calendar.
22. Full payment is due on February 28 2023 for Spring 2023 charges unless on a payment plan.

28. The deadline for GRAD to add POT B course via Student Self-Service is March 24, 2023 according to UIUC academic calendar.
29. March 24 2023 is the deadline for ALL students to drop POT B (2nd 8 week) course for refund if reducing assessment range.
30. March 31 2023 is the deadline to withdraw from the university and receive the minimum 40% pro-rata refund if enrolled mainly in full semester classes.
31. April 14 2023 is the deadline for UG to drop POT B (2nd 8 week) course via Student Self-Service without grade of W.

35. The last day of classes for Spring 2023 is May 3, 2023.
36. Reading day (no classes, no final examinations) is May 4, 2023.
37. May 4 2023 is the last day for GRAD to add/drop POT B course without petitioning Graduate College.
38. The last day for GRAD to add/drop POT 1 course without petitioning Graduate College is May 4, 2023.
39. Final examination period for Spring 2023 is May 5 – May 12, 2023 (Weekdays only).
40. Degree conferral and UIUC campus-wide commencement or graduation 2023 takes place on May 13, 2023. Diplomas will be shipped in approximately 9 weeks.
41. Students may view final Spring 2023 grades via Student Self-Service or myIllini in May 2023.
42. Transcripts on hold for Spring 2023 grades will be released in May 2023.
