2023 Honda Pilot Colors

The Honda Pilot is not new to the American market. It is well regarded and liked by almost every individual who has a thing for three-row cars. What’s not to like? It is safe, reliable, stylish, powerful, spacious, which is enough to attract people with larger-than-usual families.

As if the previous Honda Pilot was not good enough, Honda has decided to take the game deeper with its 2023 Honda Pilot. The new Honda Pilot has been fully redesigned to deliver more power, have better road presence, and provide more space on the inside. The 2023 Honda Pilot TrailSport goes a bit extreme with its off-road abilities with its all-terrain tires, an off-road tuned suspension, steel skid plates, and a system that controls the amount of power going to the rear axle depending on the situation you are stuck in.

It Is The Biggest Ever SUV From Honda

The 2023 Honda Pilot now sports a new frame that provides more sturdiness to its character. This has resulted in 60% increase in lateral rigidity at the front and 30% at the rear. The wheelbase has been extended by 2.8 inches to 113.8 inches, and the tracks at the front and rear have been widened too. The overall length has been increased by 3.4 inches due to a strong horizontal beltline. As you must have guessed, this means a more planted, smoother, and a more stable ride than before.

Exteriors That Justify The Trailsport Badge

One look at it and you know that the new Honda Pilot is boxier than before and resembles a truck more than an SUV. The 2023 Pilot has a more commanding stance with rugged and tough looks. The A-pillars have been pulled back for a sportier profile, and a longer dash-to-axle ratio. All the trims get 20-inch wheels (except the EX-L that gets 18-inch wheels) that make the 2023 Honda Pilot look huge on the outside.

To customize the looks of your 2023 Pilot further, you can choose from the four packages to add more bling to your 2023 Pilot with wheels, bronze-colored aluminum wheels, fender flares, and HPD decals.

The Most Capable SUV Honda Has Ever Made

While the current Honda Pilot shares the same 3.5-liter V6 engine with the 2023 Honda Pilot, the engine has been fine-tuned to deliver more refinement and power than the current version. The updated engine now delivers 285HP and 262lb-ft of power and torque, whereas the previous Pilot had an output of 280HP. The old nine-speed automatic transmission has been replaced by a new ten-speed automatic gearbox for a refined and uniform response throughout the rpm band.

All the variants come preloaded with paddle shifters for that manual touch when needed the most. There are five drive modes including the existing the Normal, Econ, and Snow, and two new Sport and Tow modes. As expected, the 2023 Honda Pilot boasts of its immense towing prowess by being able to tow as much as 5,000 lbs.

The Trailsport Packs Technology And Features That Complement The Power

The 2023 Honda Pilot promises sharper handling and agility on the corners with the help of a revised variable steering ratio that delivers better response and optimized front strut geometry. The front brake rotors have been increased from 12.6 inches to 13.8 inches, and the new larger calipers mean you can stop the 2023 Honda Pilot on a dime. Honda’s hill descent control will be a standard feature on all the versions and will let the driver choose speeds between 2 and 12 mph on steep and slippery slopes.

The Honda Pilot Offers A Flexibility And Comfortable Interior

The guys at Honda are so kicked about the interiors of the new Honda Pilot that they have even called it the ‘most upscale Honda SUV ever’. The Pilot already had comfortable and spacious interiors, so anything more than that is an added bonus. The second row offers 2.4 inches of extra legroom over the current version, and it can now be further reclined by 10 degrees for that leisurely drive.

All the versions of the 2023 Honda Pilot can easily host eight passengers at once, but the EX-L can opt for captain seats in the second row, but making that choice would reduce the seating capacity to seven. The Touring and Elite trims offer a seat design in the second row where you can remove the middle seat and hide it under the floor in the cargo area. In our opinion, it is a very simple yet innovative idea to provide extra comfort and exclusivity to the second-row passengers.

A nine-inch color touchscreen audio system comes standard on all the variants (except Sport which gets a seven-inch touchscreen). The 2023 Pilot’s Touring and Elite versions get a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system to enable you to indulge in an experience that most are unfamiliar with. At least inside a car.
