Where does the Austin Marathon finish?

Bands perform live music along the race route in a tribute to Austin's label as The Live Music Capital of the World. The race ends near where it begins at 9th and Congress Ave. in front of the picturesque Texas State Capitol.

Start Line The Ascension Seton Austin Marathon and Half Marathon will start at 2nd & Congress and end at 9th & Congress. The Austin Marathon KXAN SimpleHealth 5K will start and finish at 2nd & Congress.

Is the Austin Marathon Hilly?

It has a surprising amount of hills, with the hardest being around the 12 mile mark (end of half marathon), around the 18 mile mark (Dean Keaton), and a soul-crushing one at the very end (right around the 26 mile mark). The music along the course is fun, and the aid stations are well-run.
