Hi, everyone. Today we have a really GREAT E-cubed expression. It is "to go all out".

Go all out = nổ lực hết mình, cháy hết mình để làm việc gì đó, đem tất cả năng lượng, nhiệt huyết và đam mê của bạn ra để làm gì đó; nỗ lực hết mức có thể, không giữ lại chút nào.

"All" ở đây chỉ tất cả mọi thứ, và "out" dùng để nhấn mạnh, chỉ sự mãnh liệt, dữ dội. "All out" có nghĩa là tất cả năng lượng của bạn, tất cả đam mê và khả năng của bạn đều sẽ thoát ra ngoài, đều sẽ được sử dụng một cách triệt để, bạn sẽ thực sự cháy hết mình để làm việc gì đó.

Ví dụ:

I always go all out when I learn English.

Mời bạn lắng nghe giải thích của Coach Shane trong video dưới đây:

Hello, everybody. Welcome back to E-cubed. Today's expression is so amazing. I'm going to do everything. I'm going to give everything I can to you. I'm going to go all out. To go all out. To go all out. To go all out means to do one hundred and ten percent of your energy, of your passion, of whatever. I'm going to go all out tonight when I sing happy birthday. Happy birthday to you. When I teach English, I go all out. I sweat. I use props. I do everything I can. To go all out. So to go all out means all of your energy, all of your passion, all of your ability is going out, it's comming out, you're doing everything you can. When you study English, do you go all out? Do you do everything you can? I hope so. Listen to the dialogue.

Look at all the bags!! Christmas shopping! I went all out this year! Did you get one for me?

No. You said you didn't believe in Santa!

That's right. If you tell me you don't believe in Santa, I will not give you a Christmas present. What do you think about that? That's right. But if you tell me you do believe in Santa Claus then maybe on Christmas day I'll go all out and do something special, a Christmas dance, or maybe I'll sing a Christmas Carol for all of you. Jingle bells, jingle bells. Jingle all the way. Uh, that sucks. Sorry. I'll keep to myself. Bye.
