The Apple Music service offers access to a tremendous library of songs. You can locate songs in the Apple Music library to add them to playlists, allowing you to customize the list of songs that you play on your device. But you might find that you no longer want to listen to a song, or that the same song is included on your playlist twice. In these sorts of situations, you will likely choose to delete the song from your playlist.

Remove a Song from a Playlist in Apple Music on an iPhone

The steps in this guide were written using an iPhone 6 Plus, in iOS 8.4. Note that you need to have at least iOS 8.4 installed in order to use Apple Music. You can read here to learn about updating the operating system on your iPhone.

Note that if you have the same song included in other playlists, it will not be deleted from those playlists. You will need to perform these same steps to remove it on the other playlists.

• Step 1: Open the Music app.

• Step 2: Select the My Music tab at the bottom of the screen.

• Step 3: Tap the Playlists tab at the top of the screen.

• Step 4: Select the playlist containing the song that you wish to remove.

• Step 5: Locate the song that you want to remove from the playlist, then tap the icon with the three dots to the right of that song.

• Step 6: Select the Remove from Playlist option.

You can delete Apple Music songs at the Apple Music app whether you use iOS devices, Android, Mac, or Windows.

Step 1. Go to the Music app and launch it. From the bottom-right corner of the screen, click on the My Music tab to open your entire music library. The library is located at the bottom-left corner of your screen. These may be categorized into artists, genres, playlists, or songs. At this point, you may choose to delete an entire playlist or a single song. If you find a Download icon next to the track, this means you save it at the iCloud.

Step 2. On Mac, you need to hover the pointer over the song or playlist and click the More Options button. On your iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Android, press and hold the song or playlist.

Step 3. A pop-up menu will be opened containing several options like Play Next, Add to a Playlist, Remove Download, Add to Up Next, and so on.
