Tonight sees the long-awaited return of the hugely popular motoring series Top Gear – with the presenting trio of Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff, and Chris Harris heading off to an exciting location for the season premiere.

The boys will be travelling to Thailand for the season's first international trip, and judging by the trailer it looks like they'll be pushing some old pick-up cars to the limits.

The episode will also include Harris' review of the Rimac Nevera – an electric two-seater vehicle which according to the official BBC synopsis for the episode, "might just be the fastest car on the planet."

Top Gear returned to our screens earlier in 2022 with series 32, as the hosts flew across the pond and trekked across the Everglades in search of motorsport fun.

And there are five more exciting episodes to look forward to between now and the end of the series, with trips to both Germany and France on the cards for the second episode next week.

Top Gear 2022 airdate

Season 33 of Top Gear begins on Sunday 30th October at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

We can't wait!

Episodes are set to air every Sunday onwards at 8pm, with each episode being an hour in length.

Top Gear 2022 presenters

The upcoming season of Top Gear will see Freddie Flintoff, Chris Harris and Paddy McGuinness return to host the show.

Automotive journalist Chris Harris joined the show in 2016, while comedian Paddy McGuinness and former cricketer Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff were added to the presenting line-up in 2019 after Rory Reid, Matt LeBlanc and Eddie Jordan left the show.

BBC One released a trailer for Top Gear's upcoming season earlier in October 2022, in which the three presenters are shown pushing themselves and their cars to the limit. Watch above.

Top Gear begins on Sunday 5th June at 8pm on BBC One. All previous seasons are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
